The Department of Statistics and Computational Financial Mathematics of the University of the Aegean , Aegean is one of the two departments resulting from the split of the Mathematics Department of the University of the Aegean, a collaboration that has been ongoing since 1998.

Our longstanding collaboration has:

• Enriched the curriculum by incorporating subjects aligned with the specialization of the professors in this specific department at the University of the Aegean.
• Involved teaching subjects covering the field of applied financial mathematics, such as computational mathematics, risk analysis, statistics, and econometrics, with applications in finance.
• Included program administration. This collaboration contributes to the administrative stability of our postgraduate program, which has evolved through continuous updates and adjustments to the changing institutional framework.
• Provided 2 scholarships for the specialization in “Financial Analysis and Policy” for graduates of the Department of Statistics and Computational Financial Mathematics, based on their undergraduate degree grades.
• Facilitated mutual visits and seminars involving members from both departments.
