The purpose of the Financial Analysis and Policy program is:

  • To prepare students for high-level positions in the private or public sector, or international organizations

Financial Analysis and Policy is addressed to:

  • Graduates of tertiary education departments in economics, socio-political sciences, natural sciences, or engineering department
  • Graduates of tertiary education who wish to delve into the theory and practice of finance
  • Executives from the private or public sector seeking to broaden their knowledge in finance and accelerate their professional development.
  • The program lasts for 3 semesters of full-time study
  • It provides the option of attending a part-time program, which lasts up to 6 semesters.

Tuition fees amount to €4.800 and are paid in three equal installments before the start of each semester.

Classes take place:

  • At Euripidou 14, 4th floor, and other facilities of the Department of Economic Sciences at NKUA.
  • In the evenings, after 5:00 p.m., at least three times a week.

The main responsibility for teaching lies with the members of the Teaching-Research Staff of the Department of Economic Sciences of the NKUA.

The “Financial Analysis and Policy” program includes specialized finance courses taught by professors from the Department of Economic Sciences at NKUA. Additionally, specialized financial courses are also taught by professors from the Department of Statistics and Actuarial-Financial Mathematics at the University of the Aegean.

Free Choice Courses

Note: The two “Free Choice Courses” are not mandatory, and their grades do not count towards obtaining the postgraduate degree. Students who attend these courses are examined, graded, and receive a certificate of attendance, if they wish. Additionally, if deemed necessary, tutorial hours are added.

 

Each compulsory or elective course corresponds to 7,5 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits. The diploma thesis in the 3rd semester corresponds to 15 ECTS credits.

The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Financial Mathematics of the University of the Aegean collaborates at the administrative and educational levels in this specific specialization.

The Department of Economic Sciences of the University of Athens holds the administrative as well as the main teaching responsibility for the Program.

Employment opportunities include the banking system, financial organizations, businesses, financial departments of private or public sector entities, institutional investors, insurance companies, derivatives markets, and international organizations.

Graduates of the program are highly competitive in the professional field, as the program has gained recognition in the job market since 1996, based on the performance of its graduates.
